What effect has this had on you / your life?

There’s no way I would have been able to get back into education and back doing what I love, if it wasn’t for Capstone. I hope to become a criminal barrister and the industry really is set up for students, who have access to large sums of money and there isn’t much available, to help people like myself. I was in a bit of a dark place when I thought I wasn’t going to get to return to my course, after a very difficult year but Capstone pulled me out of that, by making it possible for me to go back to University. It would be an understatement to say anything less than, I have them to thank, for my future career. I will think about Capstone, every grade I get during this course, every time I step on campus, when my name is called at graduation, when I put on my barristers wig and gown for the first time and every time I walk into a court room. I am truly forever indebted to everyone at Capstone.

Would you recommend the Capstone Care Leavers Trust?

Yes. They give people like me a fighting chance to achieve what they want to achieve. One of very few charities around to help people in my position. And they are very good at keeping in contact to let you know the progress of your application.
