I received a grant from Capstone Trust to purchase essential items for furnishing my flat.
As I had previously lived independently, I was not entitled to anything.
Without the grant, I would not have had the basic/necessary items to even survive. No cooker, no fridge, washer etc. I did not have the funds to purchase the item myself so I would have gone without!
Before I was aware/received the grant, I had applied for a pay day loan to cover the cost of the items which I know I would not have been able to pay back.
I dread to think of the position I would have been in today without the support from capstone. I am so thankful for the capstone trust and the grant they provided me in ensuring independent living started off well! I have also since completed my GCSE course!!
